Remember that sticky little lawsuit Symphony filed against Motricity? It alleged that Motricity breached an agreement to set up services in India and didn't pay the fees associated with the work done.
Well, for what it's worth the case was dismissed with prejudice back in February. Details of the case are here
In all likelihood there was a settlement and the case was dismissed with prejudice as part of the settlement agreement to ensure another suit couldn't be filed by Symphony.
In short the lawyers get rich and more money goes flying out of Motricity's window. It is interesting to read some of the documents though.

Ok so we're back and open for business
I thought I would try and consolidate all the blather about Motricity in one spot. It's just too interesting...
so lets start with moconews.net. They seemed to be Motricity news central over the past few months, especially after the news of Motricity moving the Washington State. With that came the closing of the Durham offices. It's almost like it they want to wipe out any existance of the Durham operations. Anyway, needless to say the natives got restless and did what anyone would do in this social networking world...they talked about it....boy did they ever!

I've removed the original post to protect the innocent! Basically it gave a curious description about an interview with a company in Raleigh-Durham. The bizarre nature of the interview and the reaction to it was amazing. The reactions to that post remain here.
I have to believe that this is not unusual and that there are other similar companies running around treating their employees bad. Feel free to comment on this one or others. Perhaps, by illuminating the behavior of these companies it can bring about change.
